 Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta, Indonesia is the biggest mosque in Southeast Asia, befitting its location in the largest Muslim country in the world (in terms of population). This national mosque of Indonesia was built to commemorate Indonesian independence, as nation's gratitude for Islam's blessings; the independence of Indonesia. Therefore the national mosque of Indonesia was named "Istiqlal", an Arabic word for "Independence".

Saraswathi Temple - Ubud

 Located amongst the rice paddies of south central Bali, Ubud is the island's cultural capital, an oasis of art, music, dance and history. Ubud's Pura Taman Saraswati temple, famous for its lotus ponds.
The royal family commissioned this temple and water garden, dedicated to the Hindu goddess of art and learning, at the end of the 19th century. The main shrine is covered in fine carvings, and the bale houses (small pavilions) and giant barong masks.
